MS. PSAKI: Well, I would say the President — President Biden certainly thinks that President Putin and the Russian government has a role to play in stopping and preventing these attacks; hence, it’s a — it will be a topic of discussion when they meet in two weeks.
Q Does the President believe that Vladimir Putin is testing him right now, ahead of the summit?
MS. PSAKI: I’m not going to give any further analysis on that other than to tell you that our view is that when there are criminal entities within a country, they certainly have a responsibility, and it is a role that the government can play. MS. PSAKI: Hi, everyone. Happy Wednesday. Don’t be distracted by Andrew’s fabulous seersucker suit over here. (Laughter.)
Okay, a couple of items for all of you at the top. The President is running a little bit late too, so we’ll have a hard out at about five or ten after, but we’ll keep you honest, for those of you who are joining his event.
Today, the Biden-Harris administration launched the Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program, a first-of-its-kind water assistance program that will expand access to more affordable water, and help low-income households affected by the COVID-19 pandemic pay their water and wastewater bills, avoid shutoffs, and support household water system reconnections related to non-payment. $166.6 million, or 15 percent of allocated program funding, is being made immediately available to grantees, which will then, of course, be distributed in communities.
In total, $1.1 billion will be available through grants, including $500 million in American Rescue Plan funding.
The President believes that having access to affordable, clean, and safe drinking water is essential to everybody’s health and wellbeing.
A little preview of the President’s remarks for later this afternoon: We have now vaccinated 63 percent of the country [adults], and over 72 percent of those 40 and older are vaccinated thanks to aggressive action by this administration... more

Biden to discuss number of recent cyber attacks with Putin, - Psaki
President Biden will state to his Russian colleague that the “concealment of criminal organizations”, which harms the U.S., is unacceptable for Washington
June 3 - The number of recent cyberattacks heading against American and international organizations will become one of the topics for discussion at the upcoming summit of the U.S. and Russian presidents as Voice of America reported citing White House press secretary Jen Psaki.
According to her, all recent cyberattacks, including the attack on Colonial pipeline, will enter the list of questions that the president will discuss with President Putin at the summit”. She also noted that the team of Biden cannot confirm for 100% the origin of one of the recent attacks against Brazilian JBS.
“This attack reminds me about the importance of enhancing cybersecurity for organizations in the private sector and the readiness of the companies to this threat,” Psaki stated.
The spokesperson did not exclude that the U.S. can respond to these actions. It can happen if the guilt of Russia is proved as a result of the inner investigation held by the administration. She added that the White House “directly contacts the Russians, expressing concern over the reports” on the Russian origin of hackers.
“Obviously, that the number of attacks through ransomware increases with time. It is a growing threat to the private sector and vital infrastructure. For other countries…similar concerns exist that will be discussed during the president’s visit to Europe. This question will be discussed during the whole visit of President Biden to the European continent,” Psaki stated.
"I can assure you that we raise the issue at the highest governmental levels. It will be discussed during tet-a-tet or direct talks between President Putin and President Biden that will take place in a few weeks,” the White House representative promised.
It was reported that the meeting of U.S. President Joe Biden and Russian leader Vladimir Putin will take place in Geneva on June 16. Relevant information was confirmed by the Kremlin and the White House.
Putin and Biden are expected to discuss bilateral relations, strategic stability, as well as topical issues of the international order, the fight against the pandemic and the settlement of regional conflicts.
Earlier, U.S. President Joe Biden confirmed that he expects to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the near future. The place of the summit was unknown. source from
